apple crumble

starting this entry with a quote from Corrie Ten Boom again. Her word of encouragement is a great blessing. I would love to read this book which she has writtened.

"And for all these people alike, the key to healing turned out to be the same.
Each had a hurt he had to forgive."
— Corrie Ten Boom (The Hiding Place)

To keep holding onto a hurt, is to keep holding onto bitterness. And this was something which i learnt. Sometimes we say that we've forgiven, but have we really? I've been hurt really badly in the past..but through God's love, I've learnt to commit my hurts to Him, and really forgiving the person who hurt me. and that is why i finally found my relief=) Forgive and experience God's healing=) Do you have a hurt you have to forgive? Someone you have to forgive?

=) baking day again yesterday! tried apple crumble again cus apparently deon said that he loved the crumble the other time. Kiki helped us too=) Recipe from videojug hahas but our end product looked really different from that in the video la. so yups, once again, my very helpful kitchen partner helped me with the tedious stuff=) hahas. it's actually quite easy to make the apple crumble. you just need to chop the apples into cubes, add sugar and cinnamon=)i feel that brown sugar works better than white sugar though.then for the crumble part, it's just flour, sugar and butter. it was funny watching a big guy trying to tackle the buttery texture=P after that, just need to stew it=) have to keep stirring it to prevent burning, and its really cool watching it cook. first it looks really dry, then the juice starts coming out and it'll actually boil! okay. i sounded dumb saying that. but yups after it becomes soft, we have to leave it to cool, and then the juice actually kinda disappeared leaving the sugar syrup looking thing.

while waiting for it to cool, deon figured out how to use the oven again. lol=) i seriously think he's smart la. its like, i couldnt remember which switch we used the other time, and he could actually remember and stuff. im amazed sometimes, cus even though im supposed to be observant as an ECHeducator=.=, my memory isnt very good. and little things, he actually notices and remembers. kinda cool.and.. tadaa.. crumble in oven=) hahas dont have a nice photo of the final product, looks kinda weird.. but taste good=) hahas and most importantly, it was fun=)lol. my mom keeps saying that i should have gone to some baking or cooking school instead of ECH. but owells, at least im enjoying what im doing now. and like deb said in her blog, im excited about what God has in store for me from here, after year3.

next week, hopefully i'll get to meet up with bestie and units=) ECP on children's day with the girls? a bunch of ECHeducators celebrating children's day tgt. hmmm=) hols is ending in 3 weeks? im grateful for this break la=) though my horrible lousy irritating cough is still lingering after three months=( but I know God will heal me before school starts=)

another point to ponder before i head off, was doing Purpose Driven Life yesterday and came across this. that when we all accept Christ into our lives, God has a service/ministry for us.
"Jesus now has a new pair of eyes to see with, new ears to listen with, new hands to help with, and a new heart to love others with"
=)
