so yay! what im i doing? im rotting=) happily rotting from boredom at home. i baked apple crumble (which i kept saying apple crumpler=.=) on sunday evening (thanks julie for the cinnamon!=D) which i didnt take any photos cus, i was trying hard to keep an eye on my toaster oven. my amazing mini bread toaster oven can actually bake! just that i duno if the crumble part is actually really baked=X after putting in one for ten minutes, it became black chao ta. so in the end i baked the others at around 7 minutes nia, when the recipe called for 30-45mins=P soooo =) i hope it's really edible. gave one to deon=P but my mom said it was too sweet and threw them away=(( so i didnt get to share the love with more people.
me loves to bake! =) can that be counted as my hobby? LOL deon and mercy asked me about what hobbies i have and I realised that im usually too busy during school term to do something. and then i always am proud to mention about a weird hobby i used to have when i was like in preschool? kindergarten up to i guess primary two? hahas while people were collecting stamps, cards and stickers (i have 4 sticker books!), i collected tissue paper covers!=D muahaha. a box with 2 albums=)
i used to be soo dilligent in placing every tissue cover into a slot in an album=P but you know! covers in the past were really interesting! compared to the common designs these days.. i had 2 albums of DIFFERENT designs okay! I would collect different colours of the same design.
andand this seemed to be like the olden days carebear? LOL=)
and then, yesterday was public hols! met with deon and we went tony romas at orchard for lunch. im in loveee with the chicken there=) and the onion loaf is delicious too! i always thought that onion loaf was those delifrance kind.. the bigbig bun with a hole in the centre with soup. but it wasnt! it was onion!=.= okay i sounded stupid saying that. but my point is, it's a must-try and deon loves it to bits
we shared a rib+chicken combo which was super filling too=) my chicken! hahas yus,gel and kaye would rmb my fascination about chicken wings back in seconday school=) but yups, im a lover of juicy chicken! =)
=) full and satisfied, we went far east where i finally bought a pair of wedges (the shoe. not the food) =) i have miniature feet. i wear size 34, and usually the smallest shoe size is 35=( hence it's extremely hard to get a shoe that fits. and after dragging him arnd far east, i think deon was the happier one when i FINALLY found something that fits=) so i guess it wasnt an impulsive buy *guilty*=X but yups after that we went down to amk to meet the youths for dinner=) the youths were supposed to bring teacher kc out for dinner as part of our effort for five-fold appreciation day. jerm did a great job coordinating the entire thing, and found a great place for cze char dinner=)
had a good time of fellowship, I was really blessed by aunt kelly's sharing about her personal experiences in her walk with God. and i came to understand once more, that God may work in ways that our human minds cannot percieve and understand, but nothing is impossible for Him. To hear of God, and to experience Him for oneself, it's totally different=) like one of my favourite song (by aaron shust- my Saviour my God) goes "That He would leave His place on high, And come for sinful man to die, You count it strange, but once did I, Before I knew my Savior", before i recieved Christ, the entire idea of Jesus dying on the cross to redeem His people was just so far and weird. But now, four years walking with Him, I now better understand=) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
and yups! =) after dinner with them, i went back to cck and met up with yel,gel,huix at macs. though it was only for a while, it was nice to see them again. and huix reminded us about "the ladies!" and we talked about the keychains
smsed aren yang tgt, thought about planning ccaleaders camp, mr chia's "J O O D, G O B" (supposed to be GOOD JOB) in the wee hours of the morning when we were staying up till 4am during the camp=) sweet memories=) units really hasnt have a full gathering since a long time..i am starting to look forward to units chalet=) and not seeing them after sooo long (guilty for missing gatherins=X)huix said "mel! you look so yellow. like your shirt. and you're less tan than last time"
yel said "aiyo your eyebags" (i didnt get enough sleep cus of my cough=( )
gel said "mel! you're so skinny"
haha=) and they're still the same trying to trick me with suhui's voice-unlock phone=.=
